Yesterday we took a ride on a catamaran around the coast of Costa Rica. We got a bit of rain 😂
(I think these pictures really capture the misery of the moment 😅 - and Emily is still living her best life)
We anchored near this little secluded beach. It was probably… 200 yards(?) away from the ship. I was the first to swim to it! (and swim back)
(These are pictures I took after I got back to the boat - I’m not in them)
You can recognize Emily because she’s wearing her white bride cap
Amazing!

Turns out, my flight got bumped by a day, and I ended up staying in Costa Rica for an extra day. So I made the most of it and took a spontaneous solo day trip to downtown Liberia!

Small victory: I successfully bought some fried chicken and plantain chips from a street food vendor that didn’t speak any English. 😂 The translation app on my phone was super helpful here!
That is very cool!
Would you recoil it as a 40 year anniversary trip for me and Dad?
Avery Pierce~avery
Yeah, I would do a Costa Rica vacation with you and Dad!
That’s so wonderful!
Huh?!

I guess the 4th of July fireworks got rained out this year in Chicagoland, so St Charles rescheduled their fireworks show to a Thursday night in September 🤷
It was a good show. Got to hang out with my friend Kathy
Awesome - Glow in the dark!
